I’m John Goold, a retired computer person. I try to keep the neurons firing by mucking around with web sites and doing the odd bit of computer programming.
At the moment, I’m helping out with BridgeBlogging.com.
I also play bridge, although sometimes I wonder! The highlight of my bridge playing was to represent Costa Rica in the 2004 World Bridge Olympiad in Istanbul, Turkey. I was the playing captain of the open team. In case you are wondering, we owned a home in Costa Rica (just north-east of San José). We lived there with only the occasional trip back to Canada. Those occasional trips mean we didn’t run into problems when we decided, after 8 years, to move back to Canada — though to a totally different part of the country!
