For Bloggers: Minor improvement

You may have noticed the excerpts that we display on the bridgeblogging.com Home page sometimes look a little weird, or even mess-up the layout somewhat. We have improved things a little.

We have always used the “Excerpt” if you created one for your blog post and that always displays just fine. However, if there wasn’t one, the first chunk of your blog post itself was used (with the formatting ignored).

Now we choose that first chunk a bit more intelligently. If you have inserted a “Read More” tag to indicate the end of the introductory part, that will be honored. As well, diagrams created with the Bridge Tools are detected and the excerpt stopped at the first diagram.
