Mac OS X Applications

Here I ran into an issue: I only found one free application and it will not be free indefinitely (though if you obtain it now, apparently updates will continue to be free to you). That’s annoying as I really want to stick to Open Source software that you do not have to pay for (but I urge those of you who can afford it, to donate to whatever group supports software you do use). If any of you reading this know of a decent free application, please let me know.

The other thing that was annoying is that it will not run on my wife’s rather old MacBook laptop computer since she has no desire to slow it down by using the latest Mac OS X operating system release (even if it will install). The result was I had to get my daughter to install it on her MacBook Pro — she and her computer are siamese twins, so I only got to use her machine for a fairly quick test.
